Til' You Can’t - The Invitation Jesus Gives Before Time Runs Out

Til' You Can’t - The Invitation Jesus Gives Before Time Runs Out

Hey sweet friend!

That moment when Kid Rock stepped onto the American halftime stage and began singing “Til' You Can’t” …the whole world leaned in. But what caught my attention as well as the attention of millions wasn’t just the familiar melody. It was the unexpected verse he added - a bold reminder about dusting off the Bible sitting on the shelf and giving your life to Jesus before it’s too late.

Kid Rock reminds me of home…he’s from Michigan, not far from where I grew up. He can be a bit vulgar, but I like his music. No matter what you think of Kid Rock...his message was clear that night and it really struck my heart because I was there, 16 years ago telling Jesus “maybe later” as He was knocking on the door to my heart yet again. But He insisted this time and used a hard situation and my husband as the vessel… and just like 2 Corinthians 6:2, I felt it in my soul…"Now is the time of salvation". I knew that moment was MY moment.

Kid Rock’s message struck something inside me because I was there. I lived it. I knew I had to write about it…and share my heart. It's easy to put it off thinking you have another day, more time.

In 2 Corinthians 6:2, Paul writes "Now is the time for salvation".

Not someday.
Not when life slows down.
Not after you feel "good enough".
Now. Today. This very breath.

This verse reminds us that faith isn't something we put off for a calmer season. It's an invitation God places in front of us in the middle of real life - in the rush, the mess, the uncertainty, the overwhelm.

And Kid Rock's added halftime verse echoed this same eternal message:

There's still time...but not forever. Come to Jesus now...while you still can.

A Book That’s Been Waiting on You

“That book that’s sitting in your house somewhere that can use some dusting off.”

When Kid Rock said those words, people felt it. Because every one of us knows exactly which book he meant.

The Bible isn’t just paper and ink… it’s a lifeline.

A map.

A rescue story.

A direct invitation from the God who loves you more than you can imagine.

And sometimes, all it takes is brushing off the dust and cracking it open to realize:

You haven’t missed your chance.

You aren’t too far gone.

You aren’t disqualified from grace.

You are still loved, no matter what.

Jesus is still calling.

A Man Who Died for All Our Sins

The added verse continued:

“There’s a man who died for all our sins hanging from the cross.

You can give your life to Jesus and He’ll give you a second chance.”

This is the heartbeat of the Gospel in one breath.

Jesus didn’t die so we could carry shame around.

He didn’t rise so we could live small, defeated lives.

He didn’t sacrifice Himself just so we could try harder or be better.

He came to seek, to save, to renew, to rewrite and to restore.

He came so you could walk in freedom…

So you could breathe again…

So you could get your second chance and your hundredth one too.

That’s the beauty of grace.

It doesn’t run out.

But our time on this side of heaven eventually does.

The Invitation: Come While You Still Can

The song ends with three powerful words:

“’Til you can’t.”

And isn’t that the truth?

We get today…this moment - this breath.

We get the chance to say yes to Jesus, yes to hope, yes to a new beginning.

But we aren’t promised endless tomorrows.

This message isn’t meant to scare…it’s meant to wake us up to the love that’s waiting right now. To the Savior who whispers:

“Come home.

I have more for you.

Let Me give you the second chance your soul is craving.”

You don’t have to fix everything first.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to know all the answers.

You just come…

Til you can’t.

A Shirt with a Message That Matters

To honor this beautiful reminder, I’m releasing a new “’Til You Can’t” faith-inspired shirt - a wearable reminder that life with Jesus is too precious to postpone.

It’s a message that points people straight to hope, straight to purpose, straight to the One who can still rewrite any story.

My prayer is that when someone wears this shirt, they feel courage rising in their heart.

My prayer is that when someone sees the words, something inside them stirs.

My prayer is that it becomes more than a design…it becomes a declaration:

“I’m giving my life to Jesus today.

Not tomorrow.

Not someday.

But now…

While I still can.”

...and if nobody has told you today, you are so loved!
