When Trust Feels Hard: Leaning on Proverbs 3:5

Trust can be hard - especially when the answers don’t come, the plans fall apart or the future looks uncertain. But it’s in those moments, when our own understanding falls short, that God invites us to lean fully into Him.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” - Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Proverbs 3:5 reminds us that trust isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about releasing control. It’s about laying down our desire to understand every detail and choosing, instead, to believe that God is still good - still present, still working, still holding it all...even in the unknown.
When we shift our focus from our fear to His faithfulness, peace follows. It doesn’t mean the road gets easier right away, but it does mean we’re no longer walking it alone. God goes before us. He walks beside us. And He carries us when we’re too tired to take another step.
So today, if you find yourself struggling to see what’s next, remember this: Trust isn’t about clarity - it’s about surrender. Choose to trust Him not just with the easy things, but with everything. He is worthy. He is faithful. He is near. 💛
